1.चम्बल नदी

• उद्गम - इन्दौर की महू तहसील की जानापाव पहाड़ी ।
• मुहाना - उत्तरप्रदेश के इटावा जिले में यमुना नदी ।

• लम्बाई - 965 किमी

• अन्य नाम - चर्मावती

सहायक नदियाँ- कालीसिंध, क्षिप्रा, कूनो, बनास, सीप, पार्वती

किनारे स्थित शहर- महू, रतलाम, श्योपुर, मुरैना 

जलप्रपात-

• चूलिया - राजस्थान

• पातालपानी, शीतलामाता, 

•  झाड़ीदाह - इन्दौर

परियोजनाएँ- 

 गांधी सागर परियोजना (मंदसौर, मध्यप्रदेश) - राज्य की प्रथम जल विद्युत परियोजना 

• राणाप्रताप सागर परियोजना (चित्तौड़गढ़, राजस्थान) 

• जवाहर सागर परियोजना (कोटा, राजस्थान)

अन्य महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य

 यह नदी मध्यप्रदेश और राजस्थान की सीमा बनाती है । 

• इस नदी के द्वारा खड्डों तथा बीहड़ो का निर्माण किया गया है।

• भिण्ड, मुरैना, श्योपुर अवनालिका अपरदन से प्रभावित क्षेत्र है।

• चंबल नदी पर देवरी घड़ियाल संरक्षण केंद्र, मुरैना में स्थित है। 

• इस नदी पर डॉल्फिन संरक्षण केन्द्र भी स्थापित किया गया है।

Origin - Janapav hill of Mhow tehsil of Indore.

• Estuary - Yamuna river in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh.

• Length - 965 km

• Other name - Charmavati

Tributaries- Kalisindh, Kshipra, Kuno, Banas, Seep, Parvati

Coastal cities- Mhow, Ratlam, Sheopur, Morena

Waterfall-

• Chulia - Rajasthan

• Patalpani, Sheetlamata,

• Jharidah - Indore

This river forms the border of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

• Potholes and ravines have been created by this river.

• Bhind, Morena, Sheopur are the areas affected by gully erosion.

• The Deori Gharial Conservation Center on the Chambal River is located in Morena.

• Dolphin Conservation Center has also been established on this river.


2.बेतवा नदी


 • उद्गम - कुम्हरा गाँव (रायसेन)
 • समापन - उत्तरप्रदेश के हमीरपुर में यमुना नदी राजघाट परियोजना
 • लम्बाई-590 किमी.
 • अन्य नाम- वेत्रवती
 • सहायक नदियाँ- बीना, धसान, जामनी
 • किनारे स्थित शहर- ओरछा, साँची, विदिशा
 • जलप्रपात - भालकुण्ड (बीना नदी पर सागर में स्थित )
 • नहर - भाण्डेर तथा हलाली (दतिया, ग्वालियर, भिण्ड )
 • परियोजनाएँ-  सम्राट अशोक / हलाली परियोजना - विदिशा (म.प्र)
 •राजघाट परियोजना- (मध्यप्रदेश व उत्तरप्रदेश) 
 •माताटीला परियोजना- (मध्यप्रदेश व उत्तरप्रदेश)
 अन्य महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य-
 • यह नदी मध्यप्रदेश और उत्तरप्रदेश की सीमा रेखा बनाती है ।
 • प्रदूषण के समान स्तर के कारण इसे "मध्यप्रदेश की गंगा " कहा जाता        है।
 • इस नदी को “बुन्देलखण्ड की जीवन रेखा” कहा जाता  है।
 • बेतवा की सहायक बीना नदी के किनारे आगासोद गाँव में बीना तेल            शोधनशाला स्थित है ।


2.Betwa River

• Origin - Kumhra village (Raisen)
• Completion - Yamuna River Rajghat Project at Hamirpur,
                        Uttar Pradesh
• Length-590 km.
• Other name- Vetravati
• Tributaries – Bina, Dhasan, Jamni
• Coastal cities- Orchha, Sanchi, Vidisha

• Waterfall - Bhalkund (situated in Sagar on Bina river)

 • Canal - Bhander and Halali (Datia, Gwalior, Bhind)

 • Projects - Samrat Ashoka / Halali Project - Vidisha (M.P.)

 • Rajghat Project-(Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh)

 •Matila Project-(Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh)

Other important facts-

 • This river forms the boundary line of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

 • Due to similar level of pollution it is called as "Ganga of Madhya Pradesh".

 • This river is called the "lifeline of Bundelkhand".

• Bina oil refinery is located in Agasod village on the banks of Bina river, a tributary of Betwa.

3.केन नदी
 • उद्गम- कैमूर पहाड़ी, कटनी
 •  मुहाना - उत्तरप्रदेश में चिल्ला के निकट यमुना नदी
 • लम्बाई- 427 किमी
 • अन्य नाम - कियाना, शुक्तिमति, कर्णावती, दर्णावती 
 • सहायक नदियाँ - सोनार, पर्वा, सेमेरी, बाना आदि
 • जलप्रपात - पांडवघाट, कोराई, गाथा, रनेह 
 •  परियोजना- गंगेऊ परियोजना, उर्मिल परियोजना
 • इस नदी पर घड़ियाल संरक्षण केन्द्र बनाया गया है ।
 • भारत की पहली नदी जोड़ो परियोजना केन-बेतवा लिंक परियोजना (2005) है।

3.Ken River

 •  Origin- Kaimur hill, Katni

 • Estuary - Yamuna River near Chilla in Uttar Pradesh

 • Length - 427 km

 • Other names - Kiana, Shuktimati, Karnavati, Darnavati

 • Tributaries - Sonar, Parva, Semeri, Bana etc.

 • Waterfalls - Pandavaghat, Korai, Gatha, Raneh

 • Project- Gangeu Project, Urmil Project

 • Gharial Conservation Center has been built on this river.

 • India's first river linking project is the Ken-Betwa LinkProject 

(2005).


4.सिंध नदी


• उद्गम - विदिशा जिले के सिरोंज से ।
• मुहाना - उत्तरप्रदेश में इटावा के पास यमुना नदी
• लम्बाई- 470 किमी.
• सहायक नदियाँ - कुंवारी, पाहुज, माहु
• परियोजना- मणिखेड़ा (अटल सागर परियोजना), मोहिनी सागर परियोजना

 4.Sindh River

• Origin - from Sironj of Vidisha district.

• Estuary - Yamuna River near Etawah in Uttar Pradesh

• Length - 470 km.

• Tributaries - Kunwari, Pahuj, Mahu

• Project- Manikheda (Atal Sagar Project), Mohini Sagar Project

 


5.क्षिप्रा नदी

• उद्गम- काकरी बरडी पहाड़ी, इन्दौर

• मुहाना- मंदसौर में चंबल नदी

• लम्बाई - 195 किमी.

• सहायक नदी - गंभीर, खान (कान्ह)

• अन्य नाम - पूर्ण सलिला, पापहारिणी, मोक्षदायिनी, कनकश्रृंगा ।

अन्य महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य

• इसे मालवा की गंगा भी कहा जाता है।

• इस नदी के किनारे उज्जैन में प्रसिद्ध महाकालेश्वर मंदिर स्थित है ।

• इस नदी पर प्रति 12 वर्षों के अंतराल में सिंहस्थ (कुंभ) पर्व का आयोजन किया जाता है।


5.Kshipra River

Origin- Kakri Bardi hill, Indore

• Estuary – Chambal river in Mandsaur

• Length - 195 km.

• Tributary - Gambhir, Khan (Kanh)

• Other names - Purna Salila, Papaharini, Mokshadayini, Kanakshringa.

other important facts

• It is also called Ganga of Malwa.

• The famous Mahakaleshwar temple is located in Ujjain on the banks of this river.

• The Simhastha (Kumbh) festival is organized on this river every 12 years.
